prototyping towards an age-friendly city
(2015 - 2017) Program Visioning, Program Development
Cities and communities are taking active steps towards becoming more age-friendly. An age-friendly world enables people of all ages to actively participate in community activities. This workshop provided students with the opportunity to propose solutions for an age-friendly city, using prototyping as a strategy to critically and creatively problem solve. Together students researched the challenge, developed and communicated ideas, and prototyped solutions using littleBits, while developing an understanding of the basics of circuitry.
This workshop was developed in response to research emerging from the World Health Organisation.
Age Friendly City was part of The Cube's STEAM For Schools program.
